Typical applications for the PowerGear bevel gearbox are angular torque transfer and torque distribution in single, or multiple shaft configurations. For applications requiring a 1:1 ratio unit capable of handling greater torque than the standard PowerGear a higher rated “X” range is available utilizing the same size cases.

When selecting a bevel gearbox there are a number of factors which influence the final size of the selected unit. You can view this information in the Neeter Drive PowerGear Brochure. The selection procedure uses the following application information to select a bevel gearbox

  • Bevel Gearbox Output Speeúd (rpm))
  • Bevel Gearbox configuration

  • Operating Hours per day
  • Input Power Source Bevel Gearbox application

  • Transmission methods
  • Duty cycle per hour (% running time)
  • Operating ambient temperature

For solid shaft bevel gearboxes with Ratios from 1:1, 1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 it's possible to have:

  • 2 Way - configurations 1 or 3
  • 3 Way - configurations 12, 13 or 23
  • 4 Way - configurations 123

Available hollow shaft bevel gearboxes configurations for all Ratios are:

  • 3 Way - configurations 13
  • 4 Way - configurations 123
