Power Jacks has been the appointed supplier of gearboxes for BAE Systems’ M777 Howitzer since its development in the late 90s. The M777 is an ultra-lightweight towed artillery piece used predominantly by ground forces across the globe including the United States, Australia, India and more recently by Ukraine in the Ukraine-Russian War.
The M777 Howitzer is one of the most lightweight howitzers in the world allowing those using it to move quickly in difficult terrain. They are also renowned for their ability to fire extremely accurately at long distances and then due to their lightweight nature, can be relocated before enemy forces can return fire.
